Klondike

winter yellow pea

Klondike, bred by the USDA-ARS and offered by Montech Seed Group, is the first winter pea variety specifically designed for whole use or as a component in human food. Klondikes have demonstrated success throughout the winter wheat growing areas across Montana. Klondike offers several advantages: • Early flowering, offering yield gains similar to that seen between spring wheat versus winter wheat. • Fall seeded, optimizing time management for other crops in the spring season. • Uniform seed size and color that will fit most market segments. • High protein levels which may be favorable in the marketplace.
